Seun Kuti, a Grammy-nominated afrobeat singer, has spoken out about his time in police custody.
On the orders of the Yaba Chief Magistrate Court, the singer was remanded at the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department, SCIID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos, for attacking a police officer in a viral video.

After eight days in custody, Kuti was finally granted bail on Tuesday.
Kuti took to Instagram on Friday to recount his harrowing incarceration experience.
He claimed he was forced to sleep on a “hard cold floor, in the midst of prisoners.”
He did add, though, that it was “still better than sitting in the devil’s house with politicians.”
