The sister of the embattled Grammy-nominated afrobeat artist Seun Kuti, Motunrayo, has stated that the music star is not wrong for hitting the police officer in the viral video.
Seun Kuti was arrested and incarcerated after being shown in a viral video beating a police officer in uniform.
However, in a video message that went viral on the internet, Motunrayo asserted that Seun was innocent.
She said, “I don’t know why people are annoyed that I’m supporting my brother. You people are supporting the police, so I should follow you and support the police or what?

“I don’t think my brother is wrong. My brother is not wrong. Nobody gets up and just slap somebody without any altercation.”
She went on to say that police abuse is nothing new to her family and that they are not afraid.
