Vice President Yemi Osinbajo took Vice President-Elect Kashim Shettima on a tour of his wing of the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday.
Shettima told the State House media following the meeting that he was there at Osinbajo’s request to exchange thoughts on how to move the country ahead.
Shettima claimed that he and President-Elect Bola Tinubu intend to strike the ground running from the start to guarantee that Nigerians feel the influence of their administration.
Tinubu and Shettima received National Honours from President Muhammadu Buhari earlier on Thursday.
Tinubu and Shettima were named Grand Commanders of the Federal Republic (GCFR) and Grand Commanders of the Order of Niger (GCON), respectively.
Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chairman of the Presidential Transition Council, also handed over the transition document to the couple ahead of the May 29 inauguration.
