Google will soon release a stable version of Android 14 that will automatically update your Android phone, if it is of recent enough vintage.
However, for consumers who want to test out the features ahead of time, the beta is the way to go. The good news is that a new update (version 2.1) with much-needed bug fixes has just been issued.
If you have the correct device, it’ll just take a few minutes of clicking and a few more of waiting before you have Android 14 ready to go. So, when you’re ready, keep reading for instructions on how to download Android 14.
You’ll need some assistance to figure out how to obtain Android 14 while it’s still in beta.
1. Visit the Android 14 Beta sign-up page in your browser
To begin, navigate to the Android Beta website in your preferred browser.
You can now select the Devices option from the menu banner at the top or the prominent View your eligible devices button. This will take you down the page and show you any eligible phones for beta testing.
2. Select The Beta With A Compatible Device
Choose the phone for which you wish to install the beta by clicking the blue Opt in button beneath its icon. We only have one eligible device here, but if you have more, they’ll all show up here, regardless of whether they’re already enrolled in the beta or not.
With Android 14 beta 2, you may install the software not only on Google’s Pixel phones but also on OnePlus, Nothing, Oppo, Realme, Vivo, Xiaomi, and a few others.
3. Accept The Terms
Select Android 14 Beta Program from the next option, and then read the terms and restrictions. If you select the Android 14 beta rather than the Android 13 beta, you will wind up testing updates for the incorrect version of the operating system.
Once you’ve reviewed the terms and conditions, click the blue Confirm and enroll button to make your selection. You’ll next see a confirmation pop-up, which you can reject by pressing OK.
4. Download The Android 14 Beta On Your Phone
To download the beta, click to the Settings app, then System, and finally System update to begin downloading the beta OS. After a brief period of downloading and installation, you will have Android 14 on your device!
